It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Henry James Thornhill of Fortune announces his passing. Henry passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, at the age of 65.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his spouse Cynthia of 15 years; sons, Glenn Thornhill (Natasha) of Fortune, John Thornhill of Fortune; stepson, Ashley Bolt (Gayle) of Fortune; stepdaughter, Alicia Bolt (Jamie) of Bay Roberts; sister, Judy Collins (Donald); brothers, Donald Thornhill (Angela), Alex Thornhill (Gabriella); brother in-law, Alexander Boland; grandchildren, Zoey, Carter, Preston, Ryder, Wayne, Koby, Rylan, Samantha and Jordon.; plus a large circle of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Henry was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Thornhill; son, James (Jimmy); parents, William H. & Mary Thornhill; sisters, Edna Boland, Marion Thornhill; brother, Glenn Thornhill; niece, Judyette Thornhill.

The Thornhill Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman's Funeral Home Fortune on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Thursday, December 30th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, alert level 3, this will be a walk through visitation. When entering the funeral home you will be required to show proof of vaccination and photo ID. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required.

Funeral Service will take place at Wiseman's Funeral Home Fortune on Friday, December 31st, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at All Saints Anglican Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses..
