Dean R. Brunt Sr., age 88, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on December 20, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of Mary-Ann Ross Brunt.  Dean was born in Clifton, New Jersey on February 17, 1933 to the late George and Ann (Caldbeck) Brunt.

Dean enlisted in the U.S. Air force and traveled to several countries during his 21 years of service.  After retirement he had many jobs, but his favorite was as a crossing guard.

Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his son Dean (Jean) R. Brunt Jr., daughter Joann (Kenney) Johnson, grandchildren Scott, Jessica, Erica, Daniel, Bradley and Lucas.

Dean was an avid San Francisco Giants and New York Giants fan.

Services will be private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s hospital.
