Tracie Reber

Tracie L. (Wallis) Reber, age 51, of Lapeer and formerly of Shelby Township, died on December 15, 2021. Tracie was born on July 10, 1970, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Larry and Fran (Albrecht) Wallis. Tracie married the love of her life, Terrell Reber, on April 4, 2004. Tracie is survived by her son, Tyler Reber, and her mother, Fran Wallis, both of Lapeer, and her brother, Steve (Sheila) Wallis, of Metamora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell Reber, and father, Larry Wallis. Following God’s call on her life, Tracie graduated from Lynchburg College and worked in the medical field as a cytotechnologist. She worked passionately and proficiently, using her knowledge of science to bring healing to those battling illness. On her days off, Tracie could often be found out on the lake or river fly fishing.  She loved the calming nature of fishing and would even make her own flies. She also loved animals, especially horses, including an Arabian horse she owned for over 37 years. But more than anything in this world, she loved her family.  Terrell and Tyler meant the world to her, and it showed in everything she did with them and for them. Visitation for Tracie will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 10:00 A.M – 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Lapeer. The funeral will be officiated by Pastor Ross Shannon immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for her son, Tyler.
