Ramona M. Stoddard

Ramona M. Stoddard age 97, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior, on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at home in Adrian, Michigan. She was born on April 28, 1924 in Onsted, Michigan, the youngest daughter of Zearl and Florine Stoddard. She graduated from Onsted High School in 1941 and Flower Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for many years in and around Adrian, including 10 years at Bixby Hospital and 29 years at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Ramona enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was and is dearly loved by her family and friends, and she particularly loved her church family at Maple Avenue Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister, two nephews, and many friends. She is survived by her brother, LeRoy Stoddard of Westland (formerly of Commerce Twp), one niece, Leslie Pearson of Spring Lake, four nephews—Charles Stoddard of Jackson, Kim Beal of Washington Twp, Keith Beal of Liberty, SC, and John Stoddard of Plymouth, several great nieces and great nephews, and many friends, including her second family, companions, and caregivers—Spike, Judy, and Noelle Martell of Adrian, to whom the rest of the family is extremely grateful. A celebration of life and fellowship will be scheduled at Maple Avenue Bible Church in the Spring of 2022. Socially distanced and masked friends may pay their respects at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, Michigan on Saturday, December 18, at 12 noon, processing to North Rome Cemetery for graveside services beginning at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Gene Reitz officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Maple Avenue Bible Church.
