Mary Felicity Hayton Obituary

Mary Felicity Hayton passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on December 10, 2021. The cause of her death is unknown. Mary is now with Jesus. Mary was born on February 7, 2014, in Maplewood, MN, to parents Bob and Carolyn Hayton. She was seven years old, and a second-grader at Nova Classical Academy in St. Paul. Mary was the seventh of eight siblings, and her life was filled with love. She perfectly lived up to her middle name, Felicity, which means "great happiness." She brought joy wherever she went. Mary loved going to her school, where she learned to love reading. Her teachers described her as helpful and a virtuous example for her classmates. Mary loved going to church every Sunday, and together with her family memorized Bible verses each week this past year. Mary enjoyed nature and the outdoors: flowers, family hikes, and camping in a tent with all her siblings. She fell in love with buffalos when we camped in Yellowstone, and enjoyed viewing moose in Colorado this summer. Most of all, Mary enjoyed spending time with her seven siblings - riding bikes, playing in our backyard, or visiting her grandparents and other family. We may never know "why", but we will always remember and treasure our Mary. Mary is survived by her parents, Bob and Carolyn Hayton; her siblings, Emily, Megan, Amber, Rachel, Bethany, James and Hannah; her grandparents, Robert and Jody Hayton, and Charles and Donna Barnard; her great-grandfather, James Burmeister; her great-grandmother, Arlis Hayton; her uncle, Dave Hayton; her aunts, Katie Hayton, Katya Shilling; her uncle and aunt, Cory and Erin Hanson; and her cousins, Abigail, Hudson, Lukas, Esther and Emma. The Memorial Service will be held at The Heights Church, 1845 Hyacinth Ave E., Saint Paul, Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM. There will also be a livestream available, for more information visit www.theheightschurchmn.org. Visitation will be held at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 – 7th Ave. E., North St. Paul, Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 4:30-7:00 PM, and also one hour prior to the memorial service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for her family may be sent to The Heights Church.
