Roger A. Scheidegger Obituary

Roger A. Scheidegger, 85, of Rockford, IL died from complications related to Covid-19 on Monday November 29, 2021 at OSF/St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, IL. He was born August 19, 1936 in Brodhead, WI, the son of Owen and Grace (Winn) Scheidegger. Roger graduated from Rockford West High School in 1955. He was employed by Amerock for 20 years before going into business for himself. Roger owned and operated LBS Marketing, a metal cryogenicing company, until his retirement in 2017. Always competitive, he also enjoyed a good game of Dominos, Rook, or Toss Up with his grandchildren, or anyone brave enough to play against him. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley (Klopfenstein) Scheidegger; children Heidi (Phil) and family Megan and Colin Elsbree; Mark (Lisa Smith) and family Heather Alderman, Andrew (Erica) and Tara Scheidegger, Kaitlan (Jim) Kenney, and Leah, Landon, Emily and Doug Scheidegger; Brian (Laura Crossley) and family Jonathan and Emma Scheidegger; Dr. Amie Scheidegger, Nancy Scheidegger and AFS daughter Inese (Jon) and Zandis Hoover; Great-grandchildren Hunter, Madison, and Noah Scheidegger, brother Donald Scheidegger, brothers-in-law Danny (Beverly), Jack (Charlene), and Terry Klopfenstein, sister-in-law Bonny (James) Raymond, and numerous nieces and nephews.
