June C. Russ was born on June 2, 1962 to the late Jack Holloway and Rosetta Givens. She was last of 7 children. June received Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Greater Faith Spiritual House of Prayer in Panama City, Florida. She dedicated her life helping others, teaching in the Jefferson County Public School System and serving in various capacities at her church. June was an active member of the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, David and Charles Givens. June leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Brandon Givens and Brenton Russ; two sisters: Mary J. Best and Nettie Sue Lee (Ronald); one brother: Darrel Givens; her great-niece who cared for her, Keondra Thomas Brown (Chris), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
