Ronald D. Bailes

Ronald Dee Bailes of Port Deposit passed away on Monday, December 6 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 86. Born in Jetsville, WV he was the son of the late Fred M. and Pearl Ethel (Minnow) Bailes. A retired truck driver and member of Carsins Run Baptist Church, Mr. Bailes proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty A. (Spicer) Bailes; sons Timothy D. Bailes of Columbia, TN, Paul A. Bailes of North East, MD, David D. Bailes of Havre de Grace, MD and Charles J. Bailes of Port Deposit and his grandchildren, Ian J. Bailes, Spencer Bailes and Brooke N. Bailes. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his 11 siblings. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 10 from 11am-12pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where a funeral service will begin at 12:00. Interment with military honors will be at Highview Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Carsins Run Baptist Church, PO Box 97, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
