Captain Dan Gross

Dan M. Gross, age 82, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 11, 1939, to the late John and Rosaria Gross. Dan was a proud Veteran, a US Navy SEAL, and was a member of the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT). He worked for the National Elevator Industry and was also a PADI Divemaster instructor. Captain Dan taught scuba lessons for many years and had a fleet of dive boats for over 25 years. He loved the game of golf, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and was a faithful servant of the Lord. Dan was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Gross. He is survived by his loving wife and devoted caregiver, Constance “Connie”; daughters: Kristina Fisher, Marina Scotchel; son, Vincent Gross; 3 grandchildren: Liam Johnson, Nyla Johanson, and Melanie North. Dan loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved to travel the world with his wife Connie. He will be remembered most for his kind heart, his devotion to his family, especially his grandson Liam, and his military life. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, FL, or North Catholic High School, Cranberry, PA.
