David Joe Hernandez, 52, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on April 18, 1969 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He is the son of Francisco Cerda Hernandez and Dolores Maria Lopez. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2021 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center Elk City surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to music, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. David will be remembered as a hard dedicated worker that would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Elk City, Oklahoma. Chaplain Laura Nell Hays will officiate. Interment will take place at Holy Family Cemetery Canute, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing his memory is one son, Derek Hernandez of Elk City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Dayton Joe Hernandez, Ariah Danielle Hernandez, Brinleigh Ryanne Hernandez all of East Texas; one brother-in-law, Randy Carlisle of Canute, Oklahoma; two sisters, Josie Gallagher and Irene Howard both of Elk City, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Dolores, step-father, Joe Delarosa, one sister, Louisa Carlisle, two brothers, Juan Hernandez and Danny Hernandez.
