<p>Raymond J. Staples</p><p>Age 64, lifelong resident of St. Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 5, 2021. Being diagnosed with cancer in June, Ray offered up his sufferings with great resignation, telling all who asked him, that “He was carrying his cross to the Promised Land!” He was well fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and died with his crucifix in his hands. Ray was the third of five children. He devoted his life to the care of his loving wife and twelve children. He used his many talents in helping others, especially at St. Anne’s Chapel and Academy where he assisted the priests, Sisters and students with various activities, classes, and school events. He was a great example of a father to all his children and will be greatly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his father Val Staples. Raymond is survived by his wife Mary, and twelve children Keith (Emily), Alec (Holly), Adam (Bryanna), James, Christopher, Michael, Emily, Matthew, Josephine, William, Timothy, Margaret, his mother, sisters, brother, and 11 grandchildren. Visitation Friday, December 10, 2021, from 4-8PM with Rosary at 7PM at HONSA FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2640 East County Road E, White Bear Lake, MN. Mass of a Christian Burial, Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11 AM at ST. ANNE'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2445 East County Road E, White Bear Lake, MN. Burial to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Round Top, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.</p>
