Eva Morain Leger Hebert Obituary

Eva Morain Leger Hebert, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday December 4th, 2021.  

Eva was born November 14, 1932, a native of Beggs, LA and was a wife, mother, hairdresser, and convenience store owner for most of her working life.  Her love for her family was unmatched and her family was always first in her mind.  She was a wonderful cook, loved jewelry, and enjoyed gifting both to the family (especially her homemade pepper jelly).

Eva is survived by her daughter, Diana Blackwell, son, Robert Leger (spouse Kenwyn), and  sister Zoula Fruge.  Grandchildren Trista Badeaux (spouse Ben), Danette Castello (spouse Andy), Chris Leger (spouse Melanie), Brad Leger, Jared Leger.  Great Grandchildren Brittany Castello James (spouse Aaron), Cody Castello (fiance Jenna), Brooke Badeaux, Dylan Leger, Natalie Leger.  She also shared step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren from her marriage to JC Hebert.   

Eva is preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, Henry Leger (2002), and husband JC Hebert (2020).  Brothers Dennis Morain, Jesse Morain; sisters Ada Marcantel, Gladys Samson, Wilda Chaisson, Ida Guillory, Mabel Angelle, Louise Guidry.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory (11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA) on Thursday Dec. 9th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  VIsitation will continue on Friday Dec. 10 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs, LA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Ben Badeaux, Andy Castello, Chris Leger, Brad Leger, Jared Leger, Dylan Leger, and honorary pallbearer Cody Castello.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Darrin Breaux, Dr. Brad Giarrusso, and numerous other physicians for their care throughout the years.
