<p>Edward Lee Jewell Jr., died peacefully Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his home in Salem, Virginia with his family and friends by his side.</p> <p>Lee, 60 of Salem was the son of Nancy Whitlow Ikenberry and the late Edward Lee Jewell Sr. He survived by his children Christopher Jewell and Ashley Jewell; brothers, Steve Ikenberry, Merlin Ikenberry and Marlin Ikenberry; sister, Deidra &nbsp;Balbuena; aunt, Linda Porter; cousins, Katrina and Allen Porter; grandchildren, Kherington, Emmett, Langston and Sebastian.</p> <p>Lee was a veteran of the United States Army.&nbsp; He was a Freemason of Kazim Shrine Temple.&nbsp; He belonged to the Beach Bums Unit, the Ceremonial Cast, and the Cork and Leaf Club of Kazim.&nbsp; He was the owner and operator of Fire Tech Inc. and was well known throughout the Roanoke area.</p> <p>Big Lee had many supporting friends and was considered a brother to most.&nbsp; His friends will never run out of memories or stories surrounding Lee.&nbsp; He had a passion for adventure and fun. A loyal friend to everyone.&nbsp; We are forever grateful to his masonic brothers and VA hospital, who helped in his final months.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday December 9, 2021 followed by a celebration of life at Kazim Temple, 628 Campbell Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville Shriners Children&rsquo;s Hospital in care of Kazim Temple address listed above.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Edward Lee Jewell Jr., died peacefully Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his home in Salem, Virginia with his family and friends by his side.
