Robert George Hunsicker

Robert G. Hunsicker, 92, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away December 3, 2021 at Dacota Assisted Living. Born in Lebanon, PA on March 20, 1929, Robert was the son of the late Michael and Betty Stoessel Hunsicker. He spent his career as an educator at Aberdeen Proving Ground, after receiving his bachelor’s degree from what was then Millersville State Teachers College and later received his master’s degree. He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aberdeen and was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He and his wife loved to travel both in the states and internationally. Robert enjoyed time at the beach, working in his yard, feeding the birds, taking walks, solving puzzles, and doing word searches. In his younger years, he was an accomplished chess player. He loved spending time with family. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 71 years, Rose Marie Feeman Hunsicker of Aberdeen; 3 sons, Edwin W. Hunsicker (Christine) of Elkton, Scott A. Hunsicker (Peggy) of Kingsville, and Daniel C. Hunsicker (Janice) of Kingsville; a daughter, Susan A. Curry of Aberdeen; and 8 grandchildren, Jacqueline, Robert, Erik, Alison, Kate, Paul, Shannon, and John. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Michael Hunsicker and a sister, Kathleen Przybyla. Services and burial are private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.
