<p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Gayle Lynn Hecky-Kurup, age 70, of Hays, Kansas died Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was born December 5, 1950, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Thomas Amon and Alice Frances (Ropeter) Mallory.&nbsp; She married Sylvester Hecky then later married Robert Kurup, and they both preceded her in death.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was sales representative and computer technician for N.E.W. and Direct TV.&nbsp; She grew up and attended high school in California.&nbsp; She moved to Russell in 2000 and then later moved to Hays, she retired in 2016.&nbsp; She enjoyed arts and crafts, going fishing, and always had a love for animals.&nbsp; Most of all she loved her grandchildren, family, and</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">spending time with them.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors include her children, Jacob Kurup and wife, Kristin, Russell; Nicholas Kurup, Hays, KS; Melissa Sennett and Brian Summers, Hays, KS; her son-in-law, Lee Gage, Hays, KS; her sisters, Melanie Harmon and husband, Bob, San Jose, CA; Tina Livingston and husband, Brian, Campbell, CA; her brother-in-law, Randy Manley, CA;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">her grandchildren, Shansy Flax; Chailynn Sennett; Kailie May; Katie May; Gavin Jacobson; Bodhi Gage; and Sharon Gage; her five great-grandchildren and one on the way.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughters, April May;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Heather Hecky-Gage; and her sister, Colleen Manley.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Cline&rsquo;s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Gayle Lynn Hecky-Kurup, age 70, of Hays, Kansas died Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

     She was born December 5, 1950, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Thomas Amon and Alice Frances (Ropeter) Mallory.  She married Sylvester Hecky then later married Robert Kurup, and they both preceded her in death. 

     She was sales representative and computer technician for N.E.W. and Direct TV.  She grew up and attended high school in California.  She moved to Russell in 2000 and then later moved to Hays, she retired in 2016.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, going fishing, and always had a love for animals.  Most of all she loved her grandchildren, family, and

      A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601. 

     The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Thursday, at the mortuary.
