Anupom Ghosh

Anupom Ghosh was born on July 17, 1972 in Eugene, Oregon to Dr. Mihir K. Ghosh and Mrs. Anuva Ghosh. Anupom passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on November 29, 2021, at 49 years old. Anupom graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in 1990 and went on to attend the University of Maryland at College Park, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his pursuit of higher education with a Masters degree in Computer Management Systems, also from the University of Maryland. Anupom worked in the IT field as a DevOps Engineer for SAIC in Virginia. Anupom embodied kindness and generosity and found comfort in his deep sense of spirituality. As a devoted son, he took care of and looked after his elderly parents in every way. As a loving brother and uncle, he spent time with his family, especially his young nephew, Kieran, who adored his "Pom Mamu." Anupom also found passion as a foodie and reveled in discovering new restaurants with unique foods to try. He was also an avid reader and acquired a wealth of knowledge and perspectives across a wide range of subject areas. Anupom could effortlessly befriend any person. No matter the topic, he loved hearing what other people had to say and enjoyed engaging in thoughtful conversation. He was extremely loved and respected by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. Anupom is survived by his parents, Dr. Mihir K. Ghosh and Mrs. Anuva Ghosh; sister, Anita Ghosh Naber; brother-in-law, Nathan Naber; and nephew, Kieran Naber. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Vedanta Center of Greater Washington, D.C.
