Peggy Ann Hiers

Peggy Ann Delaney Hiers, 92, of Beebe, AR, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Searcy. She was born February 20, 1929, in Moultrie, GA, to John and Thera Pope Delaney. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School and was a homemaker. Peggy loved to read and work crossword puzzles and play Sodoku. She was remembered as a very good bridge player, and especially loved animals. Her favorite music would make quite the playlist, since she had such a variety of songs and artists.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. Ottis Hiers.

Peggy is survived by one son, Scott Hiers and wife, Margaret, of North Little Rock; one daughter, Barbara Hart and husband, Phil, of Beebe; three sisters, Carol Snider and husband, Ronnie, Cathy Clarke and husband, Tommy, and Vicki Lancaster and husband, Bob; one granddaughter, Rachael Warren and husband, Tyrone; one grandson, Gabe Hart; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Heather, and Cody; one great-great-granddaughter, Layla; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be 10-11:00 A.M. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors, followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. with Marty Shell, Celebrant.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family wishes to offer special thanks to The Springs of Searcy for the care they provided to Mrs. Hiers and the support provided to the family.
