<p>Francis X. Cunningham, Sr., 100 years young, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on December 1, 2021.&nbsp;&nbsp; Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Rose Cunningham (nee Dwyer).&nbsp;</p> <p>Frank was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia and former member of the Gesu Parish.&nbsp; He was a WW II veteran of the United States Army.&nbsp; He had been employed for 46 years at PECO rising to a Supervisor at the Christian Street Service Center.&nbsp;</p> <p>Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gertrude &ldquo;Grace&rdquo; Cunningham (nee McLaughlin), his daughter Mary Lou R. Davis and her husband, Frank, his daughter-in-law Patricia Cunningham (nee Lannon) and his siblings Anna Ott, Mary Devine, Kate McDevitt, Leo Cunningham and Harry Cunningham.</p> <p>He is survived by his children Francis X. Cunningham, Jr. (Anita), William J. Cunningham, Michael J. Cunningham (Claudia), Rosemary Cunningham Thomas (Geoffrey), Patricia DiLossi and his 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Frank was an active member of St. Laurence Parish for 71 years serving as a Boy Scout Leader, President of the Senior Citizens and active on church committees and other volunteer activities.&nbsp; He was an avid runner well into his 70&rsquo;s, loved to dance at weddings and always enjoyed dressing up to go out.&nbsp; He was intellectually curious always trying to figure out a better way to get things done, whether big or small.&nbsp; His steel trap memory and active lifestyle were unmatched, despite the challenges of senior years.&nbsp; He lived life looking forward not back!&nbsp; All with the loving support of his constant companion, Dora Scogna.&nbsp;</p> <p>Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Sunday, December 5, 2021 6:00-8:00 PM and Monday, December 6, 2021 9:00-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (Cor. Obituary

Francis X. Cunningham, Sr., 100 years young, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on December 1, 2021.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Rose Cunningham (nee Dwyer). 

Frank was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia and former member of the Gesu Parish.  He was a WW II veteran of the United States Army.  He had been employed for 46 years at PECO rising to a Supervisor at the Christian Street Service Center.
