Michael Vernon Cowen

Michael Vernon Cowen of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on December 2, 2021, at the age of 67. Michael was born in Oklahoma City to George Vernon and Ruby Pearl Cowen (Holt) on July 31, 1954. At the time of his passing, Michael worked as a Custodian for Moore Public Schools.

Michael was an OU Sooners fan who enjoyed kicking back and watching football at any opportunity. He liked fast cars, and he adored his dog, Skittles. More than anything, Michael loved his family, especially his only son. Michael touched the hearts of many during his life, and he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Cowen.

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Cowen, and a sister, Brenda.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm through 8:30pm on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway Avenue in Moore, Oklahoma.

Services will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore.
