AMOGENE L. SCOTT Amogene Lucille Scott "Grandma Jean" 98 of Kansas City, KS formerly of Basehor and Bonner Springs passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Healthcare Resort of Kansas City. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, Dec. 6 and the Funeral will be at 11 am, Tue. Dec. 7, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Amogene was born on Feb. 18, 1923 in Nowata, OK. She worked for many years as a Cashier for the A & P in the Kansas City area and later after her retirement she also helped as family day care, caring for children for several years. Her family always came first she really enjoyed cooking, Crafts and painting all which she was very good at. She liked to travel having been to all fifty states and also traveled abroad. She was preceded in death by three children LaZona King, Sandra Kaye Small and Bruce D. Scott. One grandson Robert Douglas Walker and a great grandson Case Hardy. She is survived by one son R.D. Scott and his wife Carol of Grand Rapids, MN. Six grandchildren Tonya Rahija of Basehor, KS; Crystal Vervaecke of Belton, MO; Troy King and his wife Misty of Athens, AL; Stacy Kalii Lane and her husband Harvey of Elmendorf, TX; Benjamin Scott and his wife Renee of Rodchester, MN and Andrew Scott of Bossier City, LA. Sixteen Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends.
