Juan Cecilio Morales-Felix

Juan Cecilio Morales aka “Chilo” of Stamford, Connecticut, died peacefully on November 30, 2021. Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico on November 22, 1945. Predeceased by his parents Santa Felix Claudio and Juan Morales Rivera, brothers Elias and Sixto Morales. He is survived by his wife Yolanda Lucy Ramos; children, Alixandro (Pito), Jaime , Juan Cecilio (Chepi) Jr.; grandson Adriel Emanuel Morales; brothers and sisters: Maria, Felipe, Tomas, Reina, Teresa, Nandy, Juanita, Jose Morales and several nephews and nieces. Juan came to the U.S, in 1953. He worked as Butcher in many grocery stores until 1981 when he established his business “Morales Grocery” in Stamford until he retired in 2013. He was very well known in the community and extended his generosity to those less fortunate. He supported many Latin softball teams and Little League teams in Stamford. He loved singing, listening to Jibaro music, and playing dominoes was his passion. His was a big NY Yankees Fan. He loved joking with people and most of all he loved having debates about everything and anything. He will truly be missed. Viewing will be at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home (203)-359-9999 ( same building as Nicholas F Cognetta Funeral Home) 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, Ct on Friday, December 3, 2021 . There will a PRIVATE family only viewing from 4-5 pm immediately followed by Public Viewing from 5-8 PM. A prayer service in Spanish will be held at 7pm. All services will be held on Friday at Thomas M Gallagher Funeral Home. The Interment will take place in Puerto Rico. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Jude’s.
