Ruby Belle Ragsdale, 91, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on February 28, 1930 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Henry Glen and Donnie Althea (Atchley) Martin. She went to walk the golden streets of heaven on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family. She married John Reed Ragsdale in 1966. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1986. Ruby enjoyed reading and volunteering at the United Methodist Church. She assisted in preparing meals at the church and taking care of the elderly. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma and was also on the church council. Ruby was a member of the United Methodist Women. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at the United Methodist Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Scott Rogers will officiate. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing her memory is her two nephews, Gene Henderson and his wife, Becky of Yukon, Oklahoma and Jim Henderson of Flower Mound, Texas; three great nephews, Stephen Henderson of Yukon, Oklahoma, Rick Henderson of Flower Mound, Texas, and Greg Henderson of Trophy Cup, Texas; one great niece, Karin Becton and her husband, Chuck of Edmond, Oklahoma. A special Thank You to Robert and Karen Cloud and extended family for all their loving care. Preceded in death by her husband, John Ragsdale; parents, Henry and Donnie Martin; sister, Pauline Henderson; one niece, Joyce Gilbreath; one great neice, Laurie Henderson; one great nephew, David Henderson and one great niece-in-law, Jean Henderson.
