<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Karen Sue Snook, age 78, originally of Seymour, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 01, 2021 at Corydon Specialty Care.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>She was born in Appanoose County, Iowa on October 27, 1943.&nbsp; Karen graduated from Seymour High School in 1961.&nbsp; She was united in marriage to James Marion Snook on September 16, 1962 in Seymour, Iowa.&nbsp; The couple were blessed with two children, Roxanne and Jamie.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Karen spent much of her adult working years with the Seymour Care Center.&nbsp; She began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and later, was employed as a med aide.&nbsp; Karen eventually transitioned to the laundry department for the latter part of her time with the Seymour Care Center.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>It should be noted that Karen owned and operated a flower shop out of her Seymour home for a period of time.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Karen had many hobbies that she enjoyed throughout her lifetime.&nbsp; She loved reading, horses and eating at Kentucky Fried Chicken.&nbsp; In her older years, Karen loved adult coloring books.&nbsp; Most importantly, Karen loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them, including cooking for them at family outings.&nbsp; She absolutely adored her grandchildren and could often be found playing barbies with them.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>She also possessed a strong faith and spent a period of time attending the Christian Church in Seymour.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Roxanne Eastlick of Corydon, Iowa, and Jamie Snook of Corydon, Iowa; two grandchildren, Carrie Stroud of Centerville, Iowa and Christy (Kenneth Jr.) Moorman of Corydon, Iowa; three great grandchildren, Alexis Jade Stroud, Jack Dale Stroud, and Takoda Wiatt Moorman; two sisters, Vivian Richards of Albia, Iowa and Betty Tucker of Rifle, Colorado; as well as three nephews and one niece.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marjorie Hiatt; a grandmother, Laura Williams; a brother, Bob Hardy; a nephew, Kenneth Richards; and a niece, Brenda Hardy.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>According to Karen&rsquo;s wishes, cremation has been accorded.&nbsp; Private family services will be held.&nbsp; Lange Funeral Home and Crematory of Centerville has been entrusted with caring for the family.&nbsp; Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com or on our Facebook page.</strong></span></p>

Karen Sue Snook, age 78, originally of Seymour, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 01, 2021 at Corydon Specialty Care.

She was born in Appanoose County, Iowa on October 27, 1943.  Karen graduated from Seymour High School in 1961.  She was united in marriage to James Marion Snook on September 16, 1962 in Seymour, Iowa.  The couple were blessed with two children, Roxanne and Jamie.

Karen spent much of her adult working years with the Seymour Care Center.  She began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and later, was employed as a med aide.  Karen eventually transitioned to the laundry department for the latter part of her time with the Seymour Care Center. 

It should be noted that Karen owned and operated a flower shop out of her Seymour home for a period of time.
