Margaret Bozik

The family of Margaret Bozik, age 66, announces that she passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2021, in Alburgh, Vermont. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 19, 1955, to Edward and JoAn (Stonick) Bozik. Margaret grew up with a love of reading, music, and horses, and was an accomplished pianist and rider. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she earned degrees in music and law. Margaret practiced law at Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney, PC in Pittsburgh before moving to Alburgh in 1994, and working for the Community Economic Development Office in Burlington. In 2012 she joined the Champlain Housing Trust, where she worked as the Director of Asset Management and Special Initiatives. Margaret had a passion for music, gardening, travel, reading, cooking, and will be remembered for her lifelong dedication to affordable housing. She is survived by her brothers Michael Bozik and his wife Beth of Wexford, Pennsylvania, and Tim Bozik and his wife Elizabeth of Montclair, New Jersey, and six nieces and nephews Matthew, Anne, Daniel, Mary, Charles, and Edward. A Remembrance Gathering will be held in the spring. As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Champlain Housing Trust, www.getahome.org.
