GLENBURN

Gaetan J. Dube, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Nov 27th, 2021, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Edmunston, N.B. Canada, on September 25th, 1949, the son of Jimmy and Leda(Pelletier) Dube.

A gifted musician, Gaetan played for many years, entertaining the community, family, and friends.

Gaetan was a talented carpenter. He established his own business, and put his passion, pride, and hard work into every house he built. Each one was different, from the simplest to the most complicated. For him, it was all about building a home. Every one of them with the quality that earned him many years of success.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carline(Boutot), of 52 years. His two sons, Tom and his wife Sarah, of Topsham; Don of Newburgh; two grandsons, Taylor and his wife Megan of Hermon, and Kyle and his fiancée Sierra Waite of Saco; two granddaughters, Eliza and Emma of Topsham; great-grandsons, Dominic and James of Hermon; two sisters, Evelyn Desjardins of CT and Rita of Canada; five brothers, Rosaire and wife Monique, Roger, Laurent and wife Marjoleine, Rejean and Gilles and wife Renelle all of Canada. Several nieces and nephews; also his Boutot family, Mrs. Yvonne Boutot and Carmen Boutot both of Van Buren, Norman and Rachael of CT and Alan of Lisbon, ME.

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Jeannine; brother in laws, Roland Desjardins and Clarence Boutot; and a sister in law, Patty Ann Boutot.

He was clearly loved by all. It is with profound sadness we grieve his death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John’s Catholic Church, 217 York Street, Bangor, Maine 04401, on December 11th, 2021 at 11:00am. A burial ceremony will be at the Grande Riviere Cemetery in Van Buren next spring.
