Mary-Ann Meagher

MEAGHER, Mary-Ann (Marie, Bobby), née Pellerin (June 14, 1940 - November 29, 2021) It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Mary-Ann, Marie, Bobby (née Pellerin), on November 29, 2021 in her 81st year at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, Ontario after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late J.D. Meagher, daughter of Willie and Augustine Pellerin (both predeceased), and of Alfred and Almeria Roy (both predeceased). Loving sister to Rose and Theresa. Predeceased by her siblings Clorinthe, Régina, Odilon, Gérard, Florian, Béatrice, Louis, Georges, Edmond, Elizabeth, Pauline, Simone, Roland, and Armand. She will be missed by too many to count but know that you counted, family and friends alike. She was blessed in birth with the gift of two loving families who embraced and loved her unconditionally. She grew up only knowing love from family. She found the love of her life, J.D., later in life and with that came one more big beautiful family who called her their own. So, whether you knew her as Mary-Ann, Marie, or Bobby, she was one in the same and we will always carry her in our hearts. She held a very special place in her life for her nephew Joseph (Piquette). She always felt grounded knowing that he was just a phone call away. He secured a forever spot in her heart from a very early age and until her passing, she spoke often and lovingly of him. He is one of her greatest gifts. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of the exceptional caregivers at Health Sciences North, fourth floor north, ALC for the unconditional and unrelenting care, particularly in this challenging climate. A very special thank you to Dr. Kristin Hepting, who always went out of her way to make Aunt Bobby feel safe and valued. For that, there are simply not enough words. At her request, and due to the current restrictions on gatherings, a private family service will be held at a later date.
