<p><strong>Josephine Montanez Whiting was born to Felipe and Josefa Montanez on March 20, 1950, in Lovell. Josephine passed away on November 29, 2021, at Saddle Ridge Rehabilitation in Sheridan, WY at the age of 71.</strong></p> <p><strong>Josephine grew up in Lovell, where she met the love of her life, Joe Whiting. They were married on February 11, 1967, and began a family. She loved her family more than anything. Her greatest enjoyment was raising her children and visiting her siblings. She was loved and will be missed by many.</strong></p> <p><strong>One of the most important things in Josephine’s life was her grandchildren: Vanessa, Steven, Eddie, and Kayla, Gabriel, and Mason. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her children and grandchildren.</strong></p> <p><strong>Josephine is survived by her children Rose Mary of Evanston, WY, and Frank of Frannie, WY; her six grandchildren Vanessa of Sheridan, WY, Steven (Tiffany) of Casper, WY, Eddie (Brooke) of Cowley, WY and Kayla of Lovell, WY; Gabriel and Mason of Lovell; six great-grandchildren Sara, Raiden, Emsley, Brecklyn, Ellidee and Ryder and sister’s Juanita Zertuche, Carol Romero, and Martina Rivera as well as many nieces and nephews.</strong></p> <p><strong>She was proceeded in death by her husband, Joe, son’s David and Joe Jr., grandchild Sara, her parents and many of her siblings.</strong></p> <p><strong>Viewing will be held at Haskell’s Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Lovell, WY, followed by a Mass in her honor at the Lovell Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Lovell Cemetery on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.</strong></p>Obituary
