Shirley Gladys Foreman

FOREMAN, Shirley Gladys (McMaster) - Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday, November 28, at the age of 87. Predeceased by her best friend and loving husband of 69 years, William (2017). Loving mother of Deborah Thorne (Herb), Ricky (Elizabeth), Brenda (Rick) and Jay (Susan). Cherished grandmother of Andrew Thorne, Jaime Schertzberg (Jeff), Jessica Petrella (Victor), Lindsay Mannella (Anthony Sabatino), Adam Foreman (Julie), Ryan and Elysia Foreman, Jaymie Pizzicarola (Liam Hartman) and Allyson Foreman. Caring great-grandmother of Mila, Marcello, Anthony Jr., Jacob, Sophia, Owen, Emma and Elliot. Shirley will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her parents Claude and Christine McMaster, her beloved son Claude (2020), sisters Gertrude Franjoine, Marjorie Scott and brothers Harry, John and Richard McMaster. Shirley loved to binge watch CNN and her favourite hobbies were Bingo and visiting the Casino. It made her happy that she could see the Casino from her room at Emerald Retirement Residence. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Velji for his care of Shirley for the past 40 years, the staff at Emerald Retirement Residence, the many PSW’s and the staff on Unit C at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. An extra special thank-you to her favourite PSW, Lisa Jones who she absolutely adored.
