<p>Millie McLuckie of McCreary passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the age of 87 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Millie was born on October 1, 1934 In Morden, Manitoba to Jacob and Katherine (Reimer) Dyck.&nbsp;</p> <p>Due to the passing of her mother at a young age she was moved to another family of relatives&nbsp; John &amp; Mary (Reimer) Dyck &amp; siblings which would become her permanent family.&nbsp; Eventually they would move to McCreary Manitoba, but she would always remain close to her biological family.</p> <p>Millie married Robert McLuckie on October 29, 1954. They farmed in McCreary until Millie took a position at the McCreary/Alonsa&nbsp; Health Centre as a cook and later moved to laundry/housekeeping aide where she worked until retirement.&nbsp; After retirement Millie kept herself busy joining many of the organizations in town,&nbsp; she always had a calendar full of meetings and places to go as&nbsp;well as many memorable trips with her husband. She was a very uplifting person with a very positive attitude and always found the bright side of any situation. She will be dearly missed.</p> <p>Survived by sons, Ernest (Sandra), Don ;&nbsp; grandsons James (Heather), John (Emily); great granddaughter Tegan; and many nieces and nephews</p> <p>She was predeceased by husband Robert;&nbsp; parents John &amp; Mary Dyck; sisters Helen, Elsie (brother-in-law Abe), Marion, Kathleen, Rita ( brother-in-law Wes); brother John ( sister-in-law Lorraine);<br /> father-in-law Lorrison &amp; mother in law Maudie; and brother-in-law Connor .</p> <p>The family would like to thank all those in attendance as well as Ryan Raffray of Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Home, Norma Windle for the beautiful service, and the United Church ladies for the lovely lunch.</p> <p>A memorial service was held on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Knox United Church, McCreary, MB&nbsp;</p> <p>Interment in the McCreary Municipal Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Millie to a charity of one&#39;s choice.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
