Patricia Ann Martin Rushing, 74, passed away peacefully Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born August 3, 1947, to the late Billy P. Martin and Naomi Shannon Martin. Patricia is also preceded in passing by her son, Marc A. Rushing; brothers-in-law, James H. Robinson Sr. and Ted Rushing; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Conley and Odessa Rushing. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Timothy A. Rushing; daughter, Tania R. Craig (Jerry); grandsons, Dalton Craig (fiancé Gracelyn Rape), and Brandon Craig; sisters, Judy M. Melton (Doug), Billie Sue M. Robinson, Robin M. Hinkle (Bill); numerous nieces and nephews; best friends of 50+ years, Donald and Teresa Purser; many “bonus” children and grandkids. Patricia became the caregiver for her two grandsons: loving and growing a very strong bond with them. She was their biggest and loudest supporter in sports and life. She cheered for her boys and their teammates which made them her boys as well. She loved everyone deeply. Her laughter and smile were contagious. Patricia will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
