<p>Arty Lee Dovers Jr., age 71, of Duncan passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Duncan Regional Hospital.</p> <p>Arty was born on December 15, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Inez Damon and Arty Lee Dovers Sr. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving from 1969-1970, and was awarded CIB (Combat Infantry Badge). After leaving the military, he raised racehorses and worked for the Daily Oklahoman Newspaper for over ten years. He felt that his greatest accomplishment was raising grandsons as his own. In his free time. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and camping but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.</p> <p>Preceded in death by his mom, Inez Damon; his dad, Arty Lee Dovers Sr.; his stepdad, Albert Damon; three sons, Sean Dovers, Randall Dovers and Bobby Dovers; one sister, Mary Lowe and two brothers, Justin Dovers and Donnie Dovers, Arty is survived by his wife, Sharon Dovers of Velma, Oklahoma; two sons, Robert Dovers and wife Cynthia of Parkton, North Carolina and Randall Arty Lee Dovers of Oklahoma City; one daughter-in-law, Christina Cravatt of Katy, Texas; one brother, Bill Dovers and wife Linda of Norman; two sisters, Debbie Meyers and husband James of Lawton and Audrey Brooks of Lawton; one brother-in-law, Doug Lowe of Newalla, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Jazmine Cravatt of Katy, Texas and Kyson Dovers of Oklahoma City along with numerous other relatives and close friends.</p>
