Mary Grace Brown, 95, formerly of West Haven, CT passed away Sunday November 21, 2021, in Palm Bay, FL.  She was predeceased by her husband Warren E. Brown.  Mary was born February 26, 1926 in New Haven, CT, daughter of the late Vincent and Amalia (Barbieri) Cocchiaro.

She was the mother of ten children; William (Billie Ann), Thomas (Paula), James (Betsy), Christopher (Kathy) and Gerald (Ann). She was predeceased by her children Laurie Brown, Warren R. Brown, Robert (Karen) Brown, Kathleen (Daniel) Prendergast, Maureen (Donald) Massa, as well as her siblings Anthony Cocchiaro, Pasquale Cocchiaro, Alfred Cocchiaro, Florence Ardito, Arthur Cocchiaro, Elena Brazee, and Gloria Schettino. She is survived by her sister Carmel Brazee, as well as 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Mary was loved by all and her home was always open. She was devoted to her family and the happiest moments were spent surrounded by them at Sunday dinners and many get-togethers. She enjoyed cooking for her family and she was an excellent baker. In her later years she became an avid reader. She had a natural giving spirit and she regularly volunteered at multiple charitable organizations well into her 90’s.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church, 300 Captain Thomas Blv.,  on December 27, 2021, at 10AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Boys Town of America (https://www.boystown.org/) or Paralyzed Veterans of America (https://pva.org).
