Margaret Marie West December 30, 1925 – November 29, 2021 Margaret Marie West of Aberdeen passed away on the morning of November 29th, 2021. She was 95 years old at the time of her passing. While she is no longer with us, her warmth of spirit and the love she showed to everyone will endure for eternity. Born on December 30th, 1925 to Warren and Charlotte Holmes, she grew up in the Perry Hall community of Baltimore County. She met and married the love of her life, Lacy Arvin West and together they raised four children in Harford County. To Margaret, family and home was everything, as she was known for the kindness she showed. Hers was a life of service as well as devotion, for she was completely and wholly devoted to the people she loved. Margaret worked at Bata Shoe Company in Bel Camp until she started her family. She is survived by her loving children, Carolyn West Webb (Richard) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Shirley West Orlowicz (Michael) of Aberdeen, Ronald Arvin West of Aberdeen, and Donald Barry West (Lynn) of Essex. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bruce Webb (Gabby) of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Jeffrey Webb of Knoxville, Tennessee, Guy Webb (Nicole) of Louisville, Tennessee, Tracia Sherman of Baltimore, Tinia West of Aberdeen, Ashley West of Knoxville, Tennessee, Christina Orlowicz of Aberdeen, and Jacob West of Essex. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Connor and Paige Webb, Megan Mayweather, and Caleb Stender. She’s predeceased by her husband Lacy Arvin West, one sister Evelyn Smith, and two brothers, Warren Holmes and Walter Holmes. Pallbearers will be Bruce, Jeff, and Guy Webb, Jacob West, David Farnschlader, and Willard Sheets. Visitation service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10AM, with service immediately after at 11AM. Burial will be conducted at Baker Cemetery. Mrs. West was a sweet lady with an infectious smile. I enjoyed visiting with her when she visited her daughter and her family in Tennessee.
