Dora Cortez Torres, 84, of Runge, passed away, November 28, 2021. She was born July 3, 1937, in Runge, TX, to the late Elogio and Elisa Muniz Cortez. She married Jose Torres Sr. on September 1, 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Narciso Cortez and Zacharrias Cortez. Dora is survived by her son, Joe Torres Jr. and wife Gloria De La Garza; granddaughter, Courtney Torres; grandson, Sean Torres; sisters, Soila Jaramillo and husband Florencio, Elva Rivas and husband Rudy, Viola Cortez, and Irene Vasquez, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation is 5-8pm with a rosary service at 7pm, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Finch Funeral Chapel-Runge. Funeral Mass is 10am, Friday, December 3, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge with Father Norbert Herman officiating. Interment will follow at Runge Latin American Cemetery.
