Delores Loraine Tuggle

MADISON - Delores Loraine Tuggle, age 84, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Jan. 15, 1937, in Madison, Wis., to Wilbur and Hilda (Barhorst) Ninedorf. She was the eldest of three daughters. Delores graduated from Madison Central High School in 1955. On Aug 10, 1956, she married Billy Ray Tuggle. They were married for 59 wonderful years. During these years, Delores worked at Research Products, The Swiss Colony and as a crossing guard. But her greatest joy was being a homemaker and caring for her three children, and later on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most recently she cared for her great-granddaughter, Ayla, with whom she shared a special bond. Delores was always involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and would do anything for her family. Delores was always on the go and enjoyed many activities. Her favorite hobbies included antiquing, going to garage sales and playing Bingo. She also spent countless weeks and weekends at their cabin where she loved fishing and boating with family and friends. She also loved her neighborhood and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors on a regular basis. Delores is survived by her two sisters, Joanne Ninedorf and Darlene Monson; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Lee (Harvey) Goglin; her son, Randy (Terri) Tuggle; her daughter, Tammy (Randy) Olson; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Keith) Hannon; grandchildren, Chelsey (Jason) Bennett, Jennifer (James) Fahey, Kendra (Andrew) Katers, Jason (Sarah) Tuggle and Kyle Olson; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd; her husband, Billy; and her parents, Wilbur and Hilda. A special thank you to her sister, Joanne, for her loving and passionate care and support during difficult times. Also, a special thanks to Roy Gassen for helping out and watching over Delores. Delores was a sweet and selfless soul who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon, on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021.
