Phyllis Elaine Tobias, age 86, of Quincy, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 8:25 am in her home. Phyllis was born June 12, 1935 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Bill and Freda May Smith Fordon. She married George W. Tobias on September 12, 1988 in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2009. Phyllis attended Plainville, IL, schools. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Quincy. She enjoyed dancing in her spare time and going to Quincy Raceways with her son. Survivors include: two children, Wilma K. Walker and Steven M. Crane, both of Quincy; one grandson, Adam Scott Walker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Wilma Giroux, Hilda Wellman, and Virginia Crane; and two brothers, Donnie and Bobby Fordon. Graveside Services: 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Greenmount Cemetery with Rev. Steve Hayden officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
