ROCKY ALLEN SHULER

<p>A Celebration of Life service will be held for Rocky Allen Shuler, 67, in the summer of 2022.</p> <p>Rocky Shuler died Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.</p> <p>Rocky was born Friday, June 11, 1954 in Alliance, Nebraska the son of Donald Ervin and Phyllis Wanda (Gusman) Shuler.&nbsp; He was raised and educated in North Platte, Nebraska and graduated from the North Platte High School in 1973.&nbsp; He was married to his high school sweetheart, Debra Gail Gayman, on May 25, 1974 in North Platte.</p> <p>Following graduation, he started working as a mechanic which he did his entire working career.&nbsp; Rocky and Debra moved to Wyoming in July, 1977, where he worked in the oilfields.&nbsp; Rocky retired in September, 2021.&nbsp; He enjoyed his work, family especially his grandchildren, fishing, restoring classic cars, and going to car shows with his brother, Don.&nbsp; Rocky and Debra enjoyed the quick-last minute road trips to where ever.</p> <p>Rocky is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debra, of Douglas; children, Jason (Jennifer Berg) Shuler of Casper, Wyoming and Rebecca (Jason) Winterbottom of Windsor, Colorado; siblings, Donald (Sharon) Shuler Jr. of North Platte, Wanda Cart of North Platte, Joyce (Bill) Miller of Douglas, Jerry (Kristy) Shuler of Douglas, and Peggy Rinehart of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Mason Shuler, Abbigail Winterbottom, Ariel Anderson, and Ashlynn Elkins; mother-in-law, Maxine Gayman of North Platte; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Linda Salmon, Judy Gayman, Teri Jo (Jim) Pokorny, and Dale (Vicky) Gayman; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his father, Donald &ldquo;Benny&rdquo;, on January 19, 2013; mother, Phyllis, on February 24, 2020; father-in-law, Gail Gayman, on December 4, 2011; and brothers, Larry Shuler in 2010 and Bruce Shuler in 1957. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The Gorman Funeral Homes &ndash; Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.</p> <p>Condolences may be sent to the family at www.gormanfh.com</p>

Rocky Shuler died Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.

Rocky was born Friday, June 11, 1954 in Alliance, Nebraska the son of Donald Ervin and Phyllis Wanda (Gusman) Shuler.  He was raised and educated in North Platte, Nebraska and graduated from the North Platte High School in 1973.  He was married to his high school sweetheart, Debra Gail Gayman, on May 25, 1974 in North Platte.

Following graduation, he started working as a mechanic which he did his entire working career.  Rocky and Debra moved to Wyoming in July, 1977, where he worked in the oilfields.  Rocky retired in September, 2021.  He enjoyed his work, family especially his grandchildren, fishing, restoring classic cars, and going to car shows with his brother, Don.  Rocky and Debra enjoyed the quick-last minute road trips to where ever.
