Judy Elena Gilchrist, 79, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, November 26, 2021 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Private Family Services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Ten Lake Township Cemetery in rural Bemidji, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji She was born February 14, 1942, in Spring Valley Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lyle and Sadye (Morrison) Andrews. She was raised and educated in Spring Valley until she moved to Bemidji, MN in 1956, continued her education and graduated from Bemidji Senior High School in 1959. She married James Williams on September 9, 1961, and later moved to Hibbing, MN, where they bought a home and began raising their family. After the loss of her husband in 1972, she moved back to Bemidji, where she continued to raise her four children. From 1992-2002, she enjoyed working with children in the Cass Lake and Bemidji School Districts as a substitute special education assistant and school secretary. She was baptized in 1972 and lived her life devoted to the Lord. Her family meant everything to her. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed playing board games and cards with them. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and dearly loved by all of them. She is survived by her daughters Christine (John) Fogelquist, Valerie (David) Port, Robin (Jon) Port; her son Sheldon Williams and her Sisters Alice Littler, Ruth Ann (Chuck) Smith, Lenore (Jack) Vermeersch; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Williams; her parents, Lyle and Sadye Andrews and her brother, Lyle Andrews Jr.
