Mrs. Margaret Davis Cox, age 90, of Dry Fork, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at SOVAH Health Danville in Danville, VA.

She was born on April 08, 1931, in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Claude Davis and Carrie Bousman Davis.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Cox worked as a CNA at Danville Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Claude Cox (Barbara (dec)); Shannon Cox Lawson (Johnny); and Cassandra Cox Dalton (Kenny Blankenship); grandchildren: Robin Supernault (Donnie); and Matthew Thomas Dalton (Luis); great-grandchildren: Nathan Hawker; Madison Hawker; Henley Cox; Abigail Cox; and Noah Cox.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Nathaniel Cox; son, Nathaniel Cox, Jr.; granddaughter, Whitney Lawson Hawker; and grandson, John Michael Cox.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 01, 2021 at Barker Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hearp officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. At other times the family will be at the residence of her daughter Shannon Lawson, 13285 Franklin Tpk., Dry Fork, VA.
