Harry Stymiest Williston, husband of Velma Williston of Bay du Vin, passed away at his residence on November 28, 2021, at the age of 90.

Born in Bay du Vin on September 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Phineas and Gertrude (Carroll) Williston.  He was a Fisherman all his life, and attended St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church.  He was a member of the Woodlot Association and the Harbour Authority in Bay du Vin.

Harry is survived by his wife Velma (Murdock) Williston; three sons: Haley (Janice) of Bay du Vin, Peter of Vancouver, BC, and Harry Jr. of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren: Hannah of Strathadam, and Alexander (Robin) of New Zealand; one sister, Phyllis Carroll (Robert) of Bathurst; and one brother, David Williston (Catherine) of Bay du Vin; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Margaret Kingston; and six brothers: Haley, Eric, John, Paul, Herbie, and Ian Williston.

A Public visitation was held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 1-2 PM, with funeral service to followed at 2 PM, with The Reverend Thomas Nesbitt officiating, assisted by The Rev. Canon Richard McConnell and Layreader Mrs. Cindy Kingston.  The music for the service was provided by Dawn Bell and the hymns were "Here, I Am Lord", "Amazing Grace", "Be Not Afraid" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me".  The scripture readings were read by Libby Kingston, Hannah Williston and Rev. Canon Richard McConnell.  The eulogy was presented by Harold Williston.

Honorary Pallbearers were Robert Carroll, Ralph Gilliss, Alan Kingston, Kenny Williston, Theodore Williston and Tom Williston.  Pallbearers were Stymiest Williston, Leigh Williston, Harold Williston, Owen Kingston, Clifford Kingston and David Murdock.  Interment was in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery.
