Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Marie Thompson McCullen, age 81, of Springhill, LA, will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill, LA with Bro. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill, LA. Mrs. McCullen was born on February 10, 1940 to Bryant and Thelma Hauck Thompson in Walkers Creek, AR and passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 in Springhill, LA. She worked in retail for many years and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends and loved working with her flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Cheatham and husband Wesley of Taylor, AR; two sons, Tommy Carpenter and wife Susan of Springhill, LA, Jimmy Carpenter and wife Vicki of Sarepta, LA; two step sons, Keith McCullen and wife Cindy and Michael McCullen and wife Angela of Sarepta, LA one step daughter, Gaylan Thompson and husband Greg Maynard of White Hall, AR; nine grandchildren, Brian Lynn Parker, Paula Orrick and husband Bill, Samantha Sissom and husband Andy, Brian Lee Bonner and wife Heather, Chris Bonner, Brandon Carpenter, Chris McDonald, Tim McDonald and wife, Cheri, Kyle Carpenter and wife, Lynn; seven step grandchildren, Amy Coile, Joel McCullen, Shane Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Elizabeth Kearney, Kayla Boots, Colten McCullen; twenty- five great-grandchildren; sister, Inita Chandler and husband Bobby; step sister, Joy Thompson, brother, Jack (Pat) Thompson and wife Pat; two special friends, Ashley Price, Connor Budwah; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCullen was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary Ann Thompson, Buddy Thompson, Julia Faye Perritt, Oudia McDonald, Linda Sue Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Kay Sawyer, Gary Keeton; her late husband, Lionel McCullen; and grandson, Will Ferguson Pallbearers will be Brian Lynn Parker, Brian Lee Bonner, Chris Bonner, Brandon Carpenter, Kyle Carpenter, and Connor Budwah.
