JEFFERSON - Valerie A. Reed, 58, passed away, November 27, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with Cancer. Valerie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was well liked and easy to love. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and always put everyone ahead of herself. Valerie met the love of her life, Wayne, 32 years ago, together they raised 6 children. It was said by many that their love is one for the books, it radiated off of them, it didn’t take money to find fun and adventure together. Their love was even more prevalent for the onlooker in the last seven years as he took care of her, loved and nurtured her through her battle with cancer. Valerie loved playing cribbage, horseshoes, pool, going camping and spending as much time as she could with her friends and family. She was a wonderful cook and the leader of all family holidays. Valerie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her six children, Samantha Desrochers and husband Jason Desrochers of Raymond, NH; Larry Schooner and partner Michael Porter of Orlando, FL; Nicholas Reed and wife Karen Reed of Lancaster, NH; Anthony Reed and Wife Jodi Reed of Somerset, PA; Amanda Reed and husband Ewan Moncrieffe of Delray Beach, FL and Wayne Reed Jr of KY. As well as her fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at the discretion of the family at a later date.
