Margaret Burns

Margaret “Peggy” Burns, 79, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was of the Methodist faith and had been retired since 2007. She enjoyed cooking and reading. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Schroyer, Jr. and Margaret Wolfe Schroyer; brother, Buddy Schroyer and son, Mark Burns.

Survivors are her husband, Bobby Burns, Sr.; son, Bobby Burns, Jr. (Lisa); daughter, Sherri Burns; grandchildren, Misty O’Malley (Steven), Meagan Burns- Gilliam, Dylan Barnard, Taylor Burns (Katelyn), Wesley Chambers; great grandchildren, Morgan O’Malley, Shane O’Malley, Levi Gilliam, Ella Grace Gilliam, Braighlee Holland, Kaleigh Barnard, Sebastian Burns, Gunner Chambers and Zoey Chambers; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Those who plan to attend the graveside service need to be at the funeral home before 12:00 p.m. to travel to the cemetery together. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
