Kathryn Irene Kramarczyk of Downers Grove, IL passed on peacefully on November 26th, 2021 at the age of 34. She is survived by her loving mother Irene (Steve) Owens, sister Christa (Kenneth) Bauman (nee Sliva), brother Daniel Kramarczyk, sister Danielle Owens, uncle Alfred (Teresa) Polus, boyfriend Robert Lukasik, and many aunts, uncles, friends, and fur babies. From a young age, Katie was a lover of learning and all things creative. An exceptional beauty, she dripped with talent and style. Whether it was fashion design, music, drawing, crocheting, cooking, or painting, Katie was stellar at every artistic endeavor. She was a brilliant pianist and a celebrated artist who found beauty in even the smallest things. Her keen eye for design led her to study fashion at the Savanna College of Art and Design in Atlanta. Katie lived big and loved fiercely. She never met an animal she didn’t like (or try to adopt!). Always welcoming and kind, Katie had a way of making every person she met feel important and accepted for exactly who they are. So fearlessly herself, she was incomparably unique; when you saw her, you needed to know her, and once you knew her, you were her friend for life. Known for her razor-sharp wit and unforgettable sense of humor, she was always armed with a joke, a dance move, or a goofy face, but it was her compassionate nature and quiet, gentle energy that made her truly special. Katie was effortlessly the light in every room she entered, and she shared that light with everyone who was blessed to meet her. Although gone from this world, her light lives on in all who love her.
