Michael Franklin Jones, age 69, passed from this life on Monday, November 22, 2021. He lived his entire life in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of Alice Jones; devoted father of Christina (husband, Terrance) Baum and Nicole (husband, Hamilton) Urquilla; cherished grandfather of Owen and Emma Urquilla and Taylor Baum, and many more loving family members, friends and neighbors. He was a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School and attended Montgomery College. Mike owned a local auto repair shop and many of his customers considered him a friend. He and his wife Alice were married in 1971 and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. They were devoted to each other a rarely spent time apart. He was known for his love of sports, especially the Washington Redskins, baseball, golf, the beach, his wife’s cooking and most importantly his children and his grandchildren. He will be remembered by his many friends and his family for his sense of humor, love of family, empathy and intellect. A memorial service will be held on December 3, 2021 at 10am at Pumphrey’s Funeral Home in Bethesda, MD.
