Giuseppe DiGioia 85, of West Haven beloved husband of Virginia Franco DiGioia passed away on December 12, 2015 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Lina (Francesco) Pacelli of Derby and Enrico DiGioia of West Haven. Grandfather of Sabrina (Philip) Pacelli Beaulieu and Mario (Lindsey Glazer) Pacelli. Great grandfather of Milania Beaulieu. Brother of Lina (Vincent) Masucci of Orange, Nello DiGioia of West Haven and the late Filomena Cusano. Giuseppe was born in Amorosi, BN Italy on December 9, 1930 son of the late Enrico and Pasqualina Fusco DiGioia. Prior to his retirement Giuseppe was a laborer for the former Schiavone Metal Company now known as Metal Management of North Haven. The DiGioia family would like to thank the staff at YNHH for the care shown to Giuseppe during his illness. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 830 Jones Hill Rd. West Haven WEDNESDAY morning at 9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lawrence Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Lawrence Cemetery.
