Victor Theodore Delaney age 82, of French River, Pictou County passed away peacefully on November, 27, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born Sept. 3, 1939 in Halfway Cove, NS he was a son of the late Arthur and Jessie (Worth) Delaney. Victor was a member of the Local # 244 Pipe Fitters, Antigonish; Boilmakers Local # 73, Halifax; he was also a member of New Caledonia Masonic Lodge No. 11. He was a member of St. Georges Anglican Church, New Glasgow and loved to listen to music. Victor’s love for animals was undeniable, Archa, Isabele, Lexi, Kutzie, Lucifer and Ruby. He is survived son’s James (Margie), French River; Robert (Jane), Little Harbour; grandchildren Johnathan Earle (Jessica), Amanda Earle (Roger) Trenton; Meagan Watters, Trenton; Ryan Watters (Sara), New Glasgow; great-grandchildren Ella, Lilly, Lux, Leyland and Lachlan, Daemon, Priyah and Remi. He loved playing hide and seek with Leyland they had their own special game. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Mary Aurella (Allain) Delaney; parents Arthur James Delaney and Jessie Willena Delaney of Halfway Cove. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday in St. Georges Anglican Church, New Glasgow with Rev.Gary Sinclair presiding. Cremation will follow. Masks and Double Vaccination are required to attend the visitation and or funeral services. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the SPCA or a charity of your choice. The Delaney family would like to thank the VON caregivers’ team as whenever they would come to care for him for the past year and a half, he always had a story to tell them, there was always laughter going on in the house, one would think wow they are having too much fun, he would tease them on the cooking of his boiled egg, (Leah) and telling them stories. They treated him good, and he loved them too. He had a special place in his heart for the VON caregivers that’s for sure.
