John Paul Fischer Obituary

John “Johnny” Paul Fischer, 63, Appleton, returned to his Heavenly Father on November 24, 2021. He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, on July 18, 1958, to Al and Rita (Kons) Fischer. Johnny attended Catholic elementary school at St. Thomas More and graduated from Appleton East High School in 1976. In high school, he was the only kid in his class to own a 1957 Chevy.

Johnny was passionate about many things. He loved his family and friends, animals, nature and Harley Davidson motorcycles. However, Johnny’s greatest love was for his Savior, Jesus Christ. Johnny was a truly unique individual with his own sense of style. He had a bigger-than-life personality. He always had a smile, a joke, a hug and a prayer for everyone.

Johnny achieved many great things. He earned a black belt in karate, was an ordained minister, and was a gifted artist.

He is survived by his three brothers: Wayne (Carol), Richard (Patricia), and Mark (Julie Bestol). John is also survived by niece Sophie and nephews: James (Kristen), Sam, Jack, and Leo.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Rita, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Special thanks to John’s close friends Bill and Connie for their unending help and support.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 6 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (404 W Lawrence St), Appleton, WI. Visitation is from 3:00pm – 6:00pm on Friday, directly at church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
