Obituary
Glen Moore, Sr., 92, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 7:43 PM, Saturday, November 27, 2021, at his home in Hannibal, Missouri. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Tabernacle of Praise Church in Hannibal, Missouri. Pastor Michael Neff and Pastor Curt Riley will officiate. Burial will be at St. Jude Cemetery in Monroe City, Missouri. Friends and Family are invited to Glen's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the church. Glen was born October 3, 1929, in Emden, Missouri to George Moore and Martha Robison Moore. Glen was married to Amy Bender Moore on July 16, 2004. She survives. Glen was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Moore. Other survivors include his children, Glen Moore, Jr. of Hannibal, Missouri, Lonnie Moore (LeaAnn) of Monroe City, Missouri, Kate Kotlin of Hannibal, Missouri and Dan Bender, III of Hannibal, Missouri; 1 brother, Bob Moore of Phoenix, Arizona; 1 sister, Marti Moore of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 grandchildren, Nick Moore (Crystal), Sam Moore (Erin), Samuel Glen Moore (Carrie), Brandon Moore (Connie), Craig Moore, Lindsay Williams (Brad), Heather Harden (Denny), Christopher Moore (Traci), Nick Kotlin and Chris Kotlin; 25 great grandchildren; and 4 great, great grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Moore; daughter, Viola Moore; 4 sisters, Silvia, Darlene, Juanita and Roberta; and 3 brothers, Frank Moore, Harold Moore and Billy Moore. Glen worked professionally as a truck driver for Lomax Trucking for 12 years, formerly working for Potterfield Trucking. He was a devoted member of Tabernacle of Praise Church. Glen truly loved playing ball and toy trucks with his grandkids and was known to pull a quarter out of their ears, from time to time. He also drove the youth church bus for almost 30 years. He enjoyed nature, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in his yard. In his leisure time, Glen watched old Westerns like Gunsmoke, Lone Ranger or anything featuring John Wayne. He was big St. Louis Cardinals fan, as well. Glen had a love for chocolate, especially Hershey's and M&Ms. He enjoyed passing out butterscotch candies to all the church kids. Mostly, Glen was a loving family man, who cherished his time with family and friends. Glen's bright spirit will be missed by all those he held dear. Glen's loving grandson, Nick Moore, took the responsibility of caring for his grandpa during the last few years of his life. The family will forever be grateful for his devotion. Pallbearers will be Nick Moore, Sam Moore, Craig Moore, Samuel Moore, Christopher Moore, Chris Kotlin, Nick Kotlin and David Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle of Praise Church.
