BESSIE WELBORN Seneca– Bessie Bennett Lee Welborn, 97, wife of the late William Lewis Lee and Ben Welborn, passed away Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 at her residence. Born in Seneca, South Carolina, Bessie was the daughter of the late Essie Bennett Corn. Bessie was a weaving trainer in the textile industry and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Bessie is survived by her son, Bill Lee of Seneca. Bessie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Monday, November 29th, 2021 at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at Oconee Memorial Park. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bessie’s memory may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 504 S. Oak Street, Seneca, SC 29678.
